Steel Nation Acquires Assets of Hayes Mechanical’s Pittsburgh Based Operations

The new business offering comes in response to the growing demand driven by the expansion of the U.S. energy sector. Steel Nation Mechanical will provide comprehensive installation and management of HVAC systems, mechanical piping and ductwork.

Steel Nation Mechanical will enter Steel Nation’s core business in the Natural Gas & Microgrids/Data Center Industry, specializing in:

Mechanical Piping: Small Bore Piping, Valve Replacement, Instrumentation, Pumps, Pneumatic Tubing and Air Compressors.
HVAC: Inspect/Repair/Maintain Systems, Ductwork, Exhaust Fans, Dampers, Ventilators and Louvers, specializing in Class 1, Division 2 Explosion Proof components.

Shane Pawich, Director, leads the company’s highly skilled union labor force (Local 449 Steamfitters), specializing in HVAC and piping services. With over a decade of experience in mechanical trades, Shane has successfully managed multiple crews, crafts, and contractors across a variety of projects. His team’s unwavering commitment to safety perfectly aligns with Steel Nation’s “Safety First – For Life” culture.

Shane and his team are dedicated to delivering the high-quality professional services that Steel Nation customers and vendors have come to expect. Steel Nation Mechanical provides installation, inspection, repair, and maintenance of HVAC systems, exhaust fans, dampers, louvers, and hoods. The division also specializes in small bore piping, valve replacement, instrumentation, small pumps, and pneumatic tubing.
