Steel Nation Adds Depth to its Roster

Washington, PA – March 6, 2018 – Steel Nation, located near Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, has hired two new Project Managers for Steel Nation Buildings, Inc., and a Sales and Service Specialist for the company’s thriving Steel Nation Environmental division. One of the fastest growing companies in the region, Steel Nation continues to staff-up to meet the needs of an expanded range of clients. Steel Nation is a full-service construction, engineering, and environmental firm that specializes in the design, construction, service, and repair of Pre-Engineered Metal Buildings (PEMBs) for the energy, water/wastewater, healthcare, commercial, and heavy industrial sectors.

New Project Manager, Chris Mangum, brings years of Mechanical Systems Engineering (MSE) experience to the Steel Nation Buildings team. Mangum has a diverse background, which includes Civil Designer and Site Inspector, and 5 years as Supervisor in the Transmission & Storage Group at Peoples Gas.

With safety as a core value at Steel Nation, new Project Manager, Mike Gavin will strengthen Steel Nation Building’s commitment to the company’s Safety First – For Life! initiative. He’ll conduct daily safety toolbox meetings and will have the authority to order work stoppages if unsafe conditions exist. As Project Manager, in addition to coordinating all construction activity on each job site, he will schedule supply chain deliveries and work with clients to resolve issues. Gavin’s hands-on experience on well pads and site safety for Chevron and MarkWest will greatly benefit Steel Nation in his new role.

Kyle Horne comes to Steel Nation Environmental, Inc. with 15 years of construction experience in the commercial and residential sectors. Horne has earned certifications from the Interlocking Concrete Paver Institute (ICPI) as well as the National Concrete Masonry Association (NCMA). As Sales and Service Specialist, Horne will grow and expand Steel Nation’s Environmental business efforts.
